Kuala Lumpur, October 14, 2010: BenQ, the world’s number one-selling DLP® projector brand in 2010 (Source, Q1-2010), today announced the launch of a wide range of projector models tailor-made for the education and corporate segments, taking the magic of interactive teaching and business presentations to a whole new level.
The first in the lineup is the MP780ST PointDrawTM projector that comes with comprehensive, thoughtful and practical features for the classroom and boardroom. This latest projector adds a touch of fun and excitement in learning as well as presenting with the uniquely designed Q DrawTM interactive teaching tool and PointDrawTM pen to boost the audience’s attention, focus and performance. The PointDrawTM interactive capability frees users from the whiteboard and system calibration hassles. In terms of maintenance and control in the MP780ST PointDrawTM model, BenQ introduces a Networking solution. The network provides a simplified real-time, wide central access and control over a single projector or through groups of projectors simultaneously via a single station. Presentations are made easier by enabling remote presentations with LAN Display and Remote Desktop. Users can present their slides with a wireless keyboard and mouse while leaving their laptops in a different venue. The benefits of LAN control also include partial projection display option for an easier content management while providing simultaneous image display support for different events. This system can manage to a maximum of four computers to one display.
Other than the interactive features, the MP780ST PointDrawTM projector comes with short-throw technology and equipped with full HD brightness performance as well as 3D projection. BenQ released its first 3D-ready projector models in 2009 and 3D-readied models for 2010 to provide seamless 3D projection with foresight to 3D visual technology being the upcoming trend in the market.
The other choice for interactive teaching and presentations would be the new Short-throw Series that includes the MX880UST, MX812ST, MW811ST, MX810ST, MX613ST and MS612ST models. A global short-throw projector expert, BenQ takes the initiative to respond to the growing trend of short-throw projectors with the MX880UST, which is also the first ultra short-throw DLP® projector in the education market. It comes with a newly improved built-in 20W speaker with microphone-in jack. A 20W audio power is ideal for average to large sized rooms and best used for playing multimedia contents. It also features a 0.3 ultra short throw ratio, allowing for a projection of a 78” full-sized image at a 0.4m projection distance – free of space constraints, eye-blinding lights and shadow disruptions. According to Futuresource, short-throw projectors have demonstrated a steady growth from 6% to nearly 25% in both the U.S. and European education markets (Q2-2010).*
