TAIPEI, TAIWAN, 10 January 2006 – BenQ today announced its consolidated revenue for the month of December. The company's core business recorded sales of NT$ 22.6 billion, up 90% year-on-year. At the Taiwan parent company level, December revenue was NT$12.7 billion, up 32% year-on-year.
"Sales of LCD monitors grew in line with seasonal strengths; shipment of LCD monitors 19 inch and above also increased," according to Eric Ky Yu, BenQ's Senior Vice President of Finance and Spokesperson. In the final three months of 2005, BenQ posted NT$66.3 billion in revenue, up 94% on a quarter-on-quarter basis. "The company's Digital Media division recorded solid quarter-on-quarter growth as BenQ's projector, digital camera and LCD TV product lines all did well in fourth quarter," added Mr. Yu.
