02-10-2009
KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – As the world’s top selling DLP® projector brand, BenQ is pleased to unveil an impressive lineup of 12 new education models that have teachers and district purchasers thinking “Win-Win with BenQ”
Leading the charge are the MP776ST and MP772ST – featuring super short throw technology, 3D-ready and the new Crestron® RoomView® LAN (Local Area Network) support for easy multi-projector monitoring.
“Being one of the leading DLP Projector brands in Malaysia, BenQ strives to upkeep the honor by continuing bringing the latest technology and satisfying the corporate and education sectors’ demands as well as individual’s needs,” said Mr Lee Kim Huat, Managing Director of BenQ Singapore Ptd Ltd. He further added that these newly launched models have had all aspects covered and undeniably, BenQ is the solution to every need.

Winning Choice for Consumers
Buyers will find BenQ’s new models to be winning choices when it comes to value and performance. First, BenQ DLP projectors offer excellent total cost of ownership with money-saving features such as a sealed engine design that eliminates need for frequent filter changes and cleanings, protects against dust, and ensures consistent, accurate colors that never decay over time. BenQ’s exclusive intelligent Lamp Care System also promotes product longevity by managing bulb temperature and extending lamp life. Easy monitoring and protection features important to school IT buyers include Crestron RoomView LAN control and password protection. In addition, institutions equipped with any of BenQ’s new Education Series Projectors (which all come standard with RoomView Express software) on a Crestron network are capable of real-time, facility-wide management and control of up to 250 projectors in addition to all other AV devices such as screens, curtains, lighting, etc. From a single station, users can either individually control or as a group dictate the operation and status of all networked MP776ST projectors: projector presence, power status, lamp life, and remote IT assistance. Customers will also be pleased by BenQ projectors’ low power consumption (<1W in standby mode) and easy installation (auto keystone, integrated speakers, extensive connectivity, and superb zoom ratios).

Winning Choice for Teachers
Teachers will be equally won over by specifications that were clearly tailored to their needs. The new models, MP776ST and MP772ST are capable of 3D stereoscopic instruction, the latest advancement in education display that enhances learning by giving students a real-life visual representation of complex subject matter like anatomy, geometry, biology, and even history. Classroom instruction is also made more effective with advanced picture processing technologies such as BrilliantColorTM, VIDI TM, and updated color wheel. Exquisitely rich hues set student imaginations free when viewing video and pictures while fine text and complex graphs are easy-to-read even from the back of the class. XGA resolution on all models is in answer to teacher preference for 1024x768, as is industry-leading low noise levels for easier lecturing and heightened student attention. Safety issues are likewise addressed: BenQ’s new models run at notably lower temperatures than the competition, feature shatter-safe lamps, and offer super short-throw models that enable close-to-screen positioning so as to eliminate eye-blinding light from the projector. Speedy setup features such as Auto Source Detection, Wall Color Correction, preset modes, and auto adjustment additionally give teachers confidence and a higher comfort-level when integrating technology into teaching.
In addition to the MP776ST, MP772ST and MP670, nine other projectors are also unveiled by BenQ – the MP777, MP776, MP626, MP615P, MP575, MP525, MP515ST, MP515 and the GP1; the ultra-portable LED projector that does not require PC input for projection.
Making its debut at CES 2009 as the world’s first pocket projector with lamp-free LED technology and integrated USB video reader, the tiny 640g GP1 is packed with advanced features to effortlessly run every multimedia content consumers can imagine: PC-less projection of movies, photos, console games, and videos amplifies enjoyment and impact of various mass storage devices such as external HDDs, digital cameras, personal multimedia players, PDAs, iPods, iPhones, smartphones, gaming consoles, and laptops.
